Where do you teach?

Penn in Buckinghamshire

My teaching tips

Is be yourself and develop your teaching tips by listening to your participants and how they response and most often the case less is more! If you fire out too much  then they switch off!

Favourite Exercise and reason why

My favourite exercise is a GRAVITYPilates exercise call crouching tiger as this involves Total body stability and control as you do the movement and is amazing when performed correctly, this exercise is very similar to the quadraped exercise on the reformer.

In a nutshell, tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience in the industry

I have been in the industry for nearly 20 years now, having worked in most areas of the fitness industry. Spending five years working in Dubai for Hilton International and then Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum running a national fitness campagne for the whole of the UAE. Returned to the Uk and set up a new health club from a building site as Fitness Manager and left to set up my own fitness business with my now husband in the name of Innovative Fitness specialising in pilates, GravityPilates & GRAVITYPersonal Training, personal training, and  pre and post natal fitness.  Last year I took on the role as an independent consultant selling the Sweaty Betty brand of clothing to run alongside our business.I am a national trainer for the GRAVITYPilates program and  have been involved with this product since its inception into the Uk market.  I work for Physical Company presenting workshops in pilates on various products. I have presented at Fit Pro conventions and Multitrax conventions on GRAVITYPilates.

Do you have a motto or mission statement?

My motto is have a dream and work hard to achieve it, nothing in life is for free, and if you are passionate about it and want it enough then you can achieve it.  Your family also need to believe in your dreams as you need there support to achieve it and make it happen.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

I would like to have my own Gravity Studio and to be able to work school hours so that I can enjoy my little boy’s activities after school and still have my career which I have worked so hard to achieve and maintain through the constant changes in life as a working mum with husband, child and dog!
